We are passionate about Independent Travel, and experts in researching, organizing and planning road trips. GlobalGadding was created to share genuine detailed travel information, in an organized manner, to enable you to easily plan your own trips, without feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
Our first big trip was to Australia, which we then revisited four times. We have traversed the country by rail, driven an RV through the Northern Territory, and road tripped around the stunning coastline.
Since then, we’ve explored ancient Cambodian temples, watched sunrise from mighty Namibian sand dunes, driven around Sri Lanka in a tuktuk, and hiked New Zealand trails.

Angela
Born in the English city of Chester, my parents emigrated to Australia where we lived for 2-3 years. Although I have no memory of my time there, a sense of travel, and a wandering spirit was instilled in me. I love planning trips, and itineraries, and am already dreaming up our next destination on our flight home.
I worked as an Aromatherapist and Reflexologist for 25 years at our local Hospice, which ingrained in me the importance of living life to the full, and doing more of what you love.
Richard
Born in the English county of Kent, I am definitely a northerner nowadays. I take a back seat on the blog, but keep a spreadsheet for our expenses! I still work part-time in Finance, but with the beauty of being self-employed.
I have the enviable position of travelling to great destinations without having to do much work planning the trips.

We are passionate about travel.
We like to travel near, far and everywhere in between.
Wherever we explore, we endeavor to see as many sights as possible. We strive for an authentic experience. Riding on local transport, eating local delicacies and listening to locals with a story to tell. We like to explore off the beaten track, but are happy indulging in tourist highlights.
Our favorite way to travel is on a road trip. Mystery and adventure sit alongside comfort. Dig deeper and you unearth humans with a story to tell, historical landscapes, authentic cultures and a more considerate and kinder world than you believed possible.
Our journeys often take us to places that offer a connection to both the present and the past. Places that have a way of touching your soul, making you question society and the world as a whole. We look for fun and adventure, but are prepared to be awed, humbled, daunted, and empowered.
We embrace questioning our beliefs and our ultimate place in the world. Travel is rewarding and teaches us valuable life lessons.
