ALASKA TRAVEL GUIDE

Welcome to Alaska, the 49th State and Final Frontier! The State is divided into five regions:

WHY VISIT ALASKA?

Home to most of the glaciers in the United States, Alaska is vast. Rugged landscapes, pure unadulterated wilderness, up-close wildlife viewing and endless road trip possibilities, Alaska offers so much for visitors. Throw in stunning National Parks, scenic hikes, crevasse-riddled glaciers, and you tick all the boxes for an unforgettable and fabulous trip whatever your age!

ALASKA WEATHER & BEST TIME TO VISIT

Alaska is a great destination all year, but we think the best time to experience the State is during the summer months, from May through September. It is perfect weather for outdoor activities, tours and having fun.

HOW TO GET AROUND ALASKA

Most itineraries include more than one way of travelling.

BY AIR: Regular air services connect you to both larger towns and smaller communities, not accessible by road.
BY WATER: One of the most popular ways to see Alaska is by cruise ship and Alaska Marine Highway ferries.
BY RAIL: Rail is a great way to explore Alaska, and with two legendary railways, you could include a day trip by rail.
BY ROAD: With endless road trip possibilities, we think this is the most epic way to experience Alaska!
